Three men are facing charges following a narcotics investigation conducted at a Long Island business.

The joint investigation with Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) was conducted at Evolve Smoke Shop located on Oyster Bay Road in Hicksville on Thursday, March 11 at 9:45 p.m.

It was determined Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and illegal flavored vape products were being sold, Nassau County Police said.

Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives placed the following defendants under arrest without incident:

  • Shahrukh Tauseef, age 24, of  Plainview
  • Syed Peerzada, age 20, of Hicksville
  • Rohit Saigal, age 27, of South Ozone Park, Queens

Tauseef and Peerzada were charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were issued appearance tickets for First District Court in June. 

Saigal was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He will be arraigned on Friday, March 12 in Mineola.
